New Fervent Heart Church

Where The Heart of God Becomes A Reality

Ezekiel 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

What We Believe

GOD

We believe there is one true & living God (Jeremiah 10:10), who is the originator and creator of all life, omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient. We believe God exists as three distinct simultaneous Persons—The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit, with each one possessing His separate personhood.

JESUS CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal second person of the divine trinity, and all that can be said of God can be said of Him.  He is the image of the invisible God; He is the One who is God and Savior. I, even I, am the Lord, and besides Me there is no savior. 12 I have declared and saved, I have proclaimed, And there was no foreign god among you; therefore you are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “that I am God. (Isa 43:11-12). As Jesus Christ has declared, He is the incarnate word of God, the Word made flesh (John 1:14) Jesus Christ is Savior whereas Jesus Christ is the only way to God, He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).  Jesus Christ is the ultimate mediator between God and men who gave Himself a ransom for all (I. Timothy 2:5-6)

THE BIBLE

We believe that the bible in its totality (Old Testament & New Testament) is the revealed truth of God, where the dominant theme is Jesus Christ.  We believe that all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. (II.Timothy 3:16).

HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the Holy Spirit is the eternal third person of the divine trinity, who comes to reveal the heart and mind of God the Father, and Jesus Christ.  We believe the Holy Spirit is a person and not an “it.”  The Holy Spirit comes to:  Convict of sin (John 16:8), help us (John 15:26, 16:7), guide us into all truth while revealing truth (John 16:13), renews & regenerates us (Titus 3:5), while empowering us to live triumphantly in Jesus Christ.

5-FOLD HEADSHIP/GOVERNMENTAL MINISTRIES OF JESUS CHRIST

We believe that grace was given according to the measure of Christs gift (Ephesians 4:7) and as Jesus Christ has ascended on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men (Ephesians 4:8) and He gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11).  Resulting in an empowerment in the church today.

GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit which is found in Romans 12:6-8.  Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; 7 or ministry (serving), let us use it in our ministering (serving); he who teaches, in teaching; 8 he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.

We also believe in the other 9 gifts of the spirit found in I. Corinthians 12:8-10 for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.  We believe that these gifts will be used in the believer’s life to strengthen and empower.

BAPTISM

We believe in water baptism (Baptizo-to be dipped or immersed) which is an outward expression of the inward commitment to Jesus Christ, and the inward transformation.  We also believe in the baptism (Baptizo-to be dipped or immersed) of the Holy Spirit where the believer’s whole being, is immersed, surrounded, and enveloped in the presence and power of the Holy Spirit, resulting in fire and power (Matthew 3:11).

COMMUNION

According to Luke 22:19 Jesus said, And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.  Today we still adhere to this command because the Lord’s Supper/Christian Communion is a remembrance of what Jesus Christ did for us and a celebration of what we received as a result of his sacrifice.
